AIR (Artists in Residence)
AIR or Artists in Residence on the 3rd floor currently includes 14 galleries of local and International artists.
AIR promotes the concepts of CREATE, SHARE, TEACH, LEARN. It is a place to gather, take an art class, attend a workshop, visit artists in their studios and buy their artworks.
The studios include:
956 Contemporary Art
A studio and gallery of Chalah Chaveesuk, a talented Thai artist who merges the art of meditation with the art of painting. This method of working is a new branch of contemporary abstract painting category.
Bryce Art Space
Bryce Watanasoponwong is a self-taught photographer who likes experimenting. He takes conceptual photography. Step into his art space and you will find out that photography is a part of contemporary art.
Earth tone
Supot Kunanukun is a globetrotter who has collected soils from many places around the world to create warm and natural tones paintings. He believes that the smell of soil will encourage us to have a peaceful mind.
Enlighten Art Gallery
Founded by Worapol Nuanla-ong, an artist who expresses Thainess onto his contemporary paintings, this gallery showcases his paintings which are distinguished by the emotion expressed through the use of colors and the brushstroke depicting what inside people’s minds.
Gallery Hoc
The gallery is founded by three artists with very different styles but all of whom graduated from Silpakorn University. Prania Kasemtavornsilpa’s work features wax crayon and acrylic paint on canvas. Sunisa Assawinrungroj’s work is free-hand embroidery. Gulached Kaochaimaha’s focus is on surrealism.
Inner Gallery
The Inner Gallery is home to works by Paramat Lueng-on and Khajohndej Saguansingha, graduates of the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts at Silpakorn University.
J7 Gallery and Studio
Sikarej Siripaibulya paints his vision of a utopian world, a place where everyone is happy. The world might seem cruel at times, but Sikarej hopes to bring happiness to everyone.
JP Studio
Early in her career, June (JP Pemapsorn) began her pursuit of her true calling as a visual artist, initially inspired by her father’s work as an architect. Her passion for the visual expression of emotion translates into each piece she creates, using techniques such as realism, impressionism, surrealism, or abstract.
Rung Gallery
Rungphan Burootchati is a veteran of the Thai arts industry whose work has appeared in numerous exhibitions and myriad galleries.
September Gallery
September Gallery is the home to Thitigon Boonyakiat, a Thai surrealist painter who, since graduating from Silpakorn University, has cultivated a career as an independent artist in Bangkok.
Thank You Gallery
A gallery of Chantanee Kontoljinda, a petite woman who expresses her imagination into semi-abstract paintings.
Thicha Art Studio
A contemporary art studio represents nine Thailand-based artists, all with their own particular style – from abstract to Thai traditional paintings. Chawtip Sriswadpong, Kanya Batsrima, Pichart jeamrustsanakul, Thawaratt Samargachandra and Suchart Kraithong.
Torch Ginger Gallery
A gallery of Jirawat Tansuriyawong who has worked as an artist for more than 20 years. Torch ginger flower is the major subject in his artworks.
Yuwana Studio
Primed with a degree in Fine Arts, Yuwana Poonwattanawit found the drive to become a full-time independent artist by tirelessly submitting her work to art contests until she triumphed, winning accolades and recognition.
