Italthai Portrait Prize 2023
On Thursday 28 September 2023, River City Bangkok, in collaboration with Otium One, hosted the award ceremony for the Italthai Portrait Prize 2023. We had the honor of having Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, the Governor of Bangkok, present the ultimate award to our winner, along with our esteemed jury members and Mr. Yuthachai Charanachitta, Group CEO of Italthai Group, who joined in congratulaing the triumphant winners of this pretigious event.
On this occasion, we would also like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all three of our winners once again!
1. “Bliss” by the artist “Thepporn Prikphet”, winner of the Italthai Portrait Prize 2023, valued at 500,000 THB
2. “A Beloved Aunt with a Frail Body” by the artist “Jakkrit Srisongkram”, winner of the Packing Room Prize, valued at 200,000 THB
3. “Childhood Memory” by the artist “Supakorn Punyasong”, winner of the Youth Prize, valued at 100,000 THB
But that’s not all – the works of all 70 finalists will be exhibited in our gallery at the RCB Photographers’ Gallery and RCB Galleria 4 on the 2nd floor of River City Bangkok from 29 September – 12 November 2023. We will announce the People’s Choice Prize after the exhibition concludes.
Finally, we hope that this portrait competition will encourage and inspire young talented artists, providing them with the opportunity to step into the national art scene, showcasing their abilities to the fullest. This includes scholarships, commissions for creating artwork, recognition, and the beginning of a true artistic career.
