Italthai Portrait Prize 2024

Let’s embark once again on the journey of artistic expression with the “Italthai Portrait Prize 2024”, a nationwide portrait painting competition for 2024, sponsored by the Italthai Group. Artists of all ages and genders, both Thai and international residents in Thailand, are invited to submit their portrait artworks for a chance to compete for a total prize pool exceeding 900,000 THB!

This competition’s stage is set to welcome professional artists, art enthusiasts, students, and anyone with a passion for art. Join us in the quest to discover talented artists filled with ability and dreams. The competition features four awards, will the first prize being the “Portrait Prize”, accompanied by a cash prize of 500,000 THB. Following is the “Packing Room Prize” worth 200,000 THB, chosen by the exhibition team at River City Bangkok. The third award, the “People’s Choice Prize”, valued at 100,000 THB, will be determined by the votes of exhibition attendees during the final round. And, of course, the “Youth Prize”, with a value of 100,000 THB, will be awarded to artists under the age of 16.

We hope that this portrait competition will propel and inspire young artists to step into the national art scene, showcasing their full potential. In addition to the cash prizes, winners will have opportunities for educational scholarships, commissioned artworks, recognition, and a head start in exploring a genuine career as an artist.
