RCB Film Club – Kusama: Infinity

3, 2, 1, Action!… RCB Film Club presents “Kusama: Infinity”, director Heather Lenz’s thought-provoking biopic of Yayoi Kusama, a Japanese artist who has been given the moniker “princess of polka dots” for her world-renowned “dotty” style. The film retraces Kusama’s upbringing in a conservative family and her decision to move to America after World War 2 and follow her dreams (where she rivaled Andy Warhol in fame). With her fierce self-confidence, she rose through the ranks of the art world to command the world’s attention. Now 80 years old, she lives in a mental health hospital, where she continues to create bold and innovative works.
