Suphasawatt adopts a dog, but his wife, Sunisa, is skeptical. While the dog offers Suphasawatt an escape from the frustrations of his job and the unknowns of middle life, the dog also becomes a rival for Susina’s affection. Sunisa, according to the dog, doesn’t understand the man-dog relationship. Suphasawatt and Sunisa’s marriage is seriously jeopardized until, following a series of amusing and emotional situations, they learn to compromise and the dog becomes an important part of their lives.
Adapted from A R Gurney’s well-known play “Sylvia,” the theater production stars Suphasawatt Purnaveja, Kwankaew Kantawet, Sirameth Akkarapakulset, Wannasak Sirilar and Pattarasuda Anuman Rajadhon as Dog! Damkerng Thitapiyasak, the 2019 winner of the “Silpathorn Artist Award” directed and adapted the play. The show’s goal is to encourage positive connections and the well-being of pets in families, as well as to increase understanding between man and dog. The proceeds from the play will be donated to Foxy and Friends to help fund local beach dog sterilization in Pranburi.
About Foxy and Friends (F&F)
Foxy and Friends was founded in 2020 with the mission to sterilize and take care of beach dogs in Pak Nam Pran, Pranburi. Between 2020 and 2021, 600 dogs were sterilized. Foxy and Friends have been invited to an annual collaboration with Soi Dog foundation to sterilize 600 dogs for 2022. F&F also find homes for stray puppies. In 2021 alone we got 170 puppies adopted.
The show is in Thai with English surtitles. In March 2022, there are six sessions, as follows:
