The Blue Hole

RCB Experimental Art Lab x The Cave Studio proudly present “The Blue Hole” – an original stage production written and directed by Natvara Hongsuwan and Daran Metabuddhaguna, two esteemed acting coaches who have worked intensively with the cast for over a year. This performance merges theater and cinematic storytelling in a raw, immersive psychological thriller that dares to unravel, shake, and expose the deepest truths of human nature.

Set in 1982, the play takes place in a secluded women’s health hospital just outside San Francisco. Victoria (Vicky), a determined cave diver who longs to build a perfect family, seeks fertility treatment from the renowned Doctor Elizabeth. However, what begins as a medical consultation soon spirals into a tangled mystery when Vicky’s past appears disturbingly linked to the infamous 10-year-old missing child case of Annie. As the puzzle unfolds, Doctor Elizabeth makes a chilling choice—not only to conceal the truth but to continue the treatment while drawing Catherine (Kate), a single mother and poet obsessed with creating her magnum opus, into the vortex of this twisted reality. What should have been a routine recovery soon turns into chaos when Kate’s forbidden affair with Ted, a literature professor and Vicky’s husband, further complicates the web of deception. But this is only the beginning. As they desperately seek to escape, they come to a terrifying realization—they have never truly left the hospital. Everything is part of an enigmatic research project known as “The Blue Hole”.
