365°: Call for exhibition volunteers

River City Bangkok invites you to become a volunteer for 365°, the exhibition by a Spanish photographer, Eugenio Recuenco that explores in moments in history and the influences of art, current affairs, politics, disasters, mankind’s achievements and more through 365 photographs. A photograph for each day of the year is backlit in its own light-box.

Volunteers will take visitors on a short tour of the exhibition, describing the work and answer questions.

Why should you consider being a volunteer?

In case you did not notice, Thailand’s interest in art is growing exponentially with more exhibitions, more artists, and more art-lovers. Volunteering will give you an opportunity to expand your knowledge of the world of art and photography. If your interest is in art, curating, museums and galleries, this volunteering opportunity will give you the experience you need for a job in this field. What’s more, you will meet people with a similar interest to yours; other volunteers and visitors to the exhibition.

Time and content of preparation/training

Successful applicants will participate in a 3-hour training programme by River City Bangkok’s exhibition team. The training plus 10 tours will qualify you for an exhibition guide’s certificate from River City Bangkok.

Qualification

  1. Have an interest in art, culture and international affairs
  2. Be 18-years or over.
  3. Be fluent speaking Thai and English.
  4. Be comfortable and comfortable approaching people and starting conversations

Successful applicants will be notified by May 3rd, 2021

** The successful applicants need to attend the 3-hour training workshop at RCB Forum, 2nd floor, River City Bangkok. The applicants can choose the date to attend the train: 6,7,10 and 12 May (Pick only one day) at 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
