SOMETHING NOUVEAU

Celebrating the golden age of art, design and architecture of the art nouveau period (1890–1910), the works of Gustav Klimt, Alphonse Mucha, Aubrey Beardsley are brought together as a multimedia exhibition, ‘Something Nouveau’ at MODA Gallery, River City Bangkok that combines stories about the artist, period and artworks with digital projection of the paintings with music of the period.

The most aesthetic one of all modernism movements, Art Nouveau is recognized as an important step in art, architecture and designs. Though the period was short, peaking around 1900, the sheer beauty or art nouveau continues to attract art-lovers around the globe. Because Art Nouveau developed simultaneously in different parts of the Europe, there are considerable differences in styles of the period.

The exhibition ‘Something Nouveau’ consists of three novels which are devoted to the art of these masters. Over five hundred masterpieces are drawn upon to create the multimedia exhibition, offering a great opportunity for art lovers to delve into the beautiful masterpieces of art nouveau.
