A commissioned portrait

River City Bangkok is delighted that last year, RCB Portrait Prize, Thailand’s first national portrait competition was successfully launched with nearly 200 entries from across the country as well as being a platform to promote talented Thai artists to gain public recognition and advance their career as a professional artist.

We are thrilled that Khun Tanawat Muratatunyaluk, the winner of the Packing Room Prize 2021 was commissioned by one of the Ambassadors to Thailand to paint a portrait of a prominent member of his family. Portrait paintings are like a reminder of the precious memories of people who we love and respect. It is a form of art that reflects human relationship. With his talent in panting, the artwork was beautifully executed.

River City Bangkok hopes that the annual RCB Portrait Prize will help provide a platform for Thai artists to show their talents and to be discovered.
