BEHIND MY EYES
Have you ever seen something in your mind before you’ve even fallen asleep?
Before sleep, during meditation, or in dreams, images, light, colours, and objects may appear in the artist’s mind. Sometimes they are vivid, sometimes hazy, before being captured and transformed into works of art.
“BEHIND MY EYES,” an exhibition by Hiroka Limviphuvadh, invites us to explore the world “behind the eyes,” guided by a woman and a cat who become recurring characters, leading us through a series of images and stories from one scene to the next.
As the artist continues to draw, things that once seemed unrelated gradually begin to connect and converge, as if each image were becoming a page in a visual journal of her inner world, one that the artist herself gradually discovers through the process of drawing.
Perhaps what lies BEHIND MY EYES is not simply a world within us, but another world, quietly vibrating at the same frequency as the universe.
BEHIND MY EYES is open from October 2 – 31, 2026, at Photographers’ Gallery, 2nd Floor, River City Bangkok.
