Dance of Death

Trendy Gallery and River City Bangkok invite you to an adventure in the world of Cuscus the Cuckoos, an artist who has created amazing fantasy works in her first exhibition, “Dance of Death”. She opens up the dimension of death as a bright and gloomy fantasy. In fact, she is extremely afraid of leaving this world. However, when trying to settle with herself, she has come to the conclusion it is, in fact, not scary at all – we can all take off the black-and-white filter and look at it in color. Thus, she created characters to jump and dance in this fictional dimension, guide, and bring excitement to the people in the exhibition. Each represents an emotion at a certain point in human life. These strange-looking characters, partly inspired by her pets as well as combined with their inner senses, have evolved with anatomical theories into exotic species. This work is like a space for people to enter and explore the artist’s subconsciousness of seemingly frightening subjects. However, everything is just a hypothesis, and there is no point in being depressed. It is better to get up, dance, and just simply enjoy it.

Her exhibition is deep in concepts and is also excellent in terms of the amazing combination of painting and digital art. With the skill of painting that breaks every rule that has gone through countless thought processes into works that give a variety of emotions, she has achieved balance in terms of color and composition through practice and years of experience in the art industry. She came up with the idea of creating a virtual world in a simulation game to make the message you want to send clearer and more accessible. In this event, you will walk and dance with all her creatures in the most realistic atmosphere. Then the dark matter will become brighter than you think.

“When we were born, we cried. When we die, it is better to just laugh, ha!”
