Emotional Virus
What would your emotions look like if they could be seen?
A solo exhibition by Napat Leelahapong, winner of the 9th Bualuang Creative Artist and a teacher who dedicates himself in helping students struggling with emotional problems.
Emotional Virus is inspired by Napat’s experiences in assisting students who suffer from stress, distress, and depression which have taken their happiness or even their lives. These negative emotions are like invisible viruses. Despite the fact that it is unseen by human eyes, it has a serious impact on mental health.
Napat interprets these emotional states into abstract paintings through colourful virus characters that look like monsters. His paintings give the audience microscopic views aiming to raise awareness of the existence of invisible emotions and provide the opportunity to explore their minds, embrace the negative emotions and seek a way to cope with them properly.
