Neverland

Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Captain Hook, the Lost Boys and the community of other magical beings that reside in the enchanted world of J. M. Barrie’s classic, “Peter Pan”– where children “never grow up” and can do anything they want– are the blueprint for “Neverland”, a group exhibition featuring the works of seven emerging artists.

Visitors can seek refuge from the manic gallop of daily life in this exhibition, where fantasy bleeds into reality in twilit worlds. Doze off and drift into mythical settings, where you’ll encounter wonders beyond your wildest dreams.

Across this constellation of fantastical worlds, humanity dismounts from the pedestal that raises it above the rest of the animal kingdom, and speaks in a shared language with animals. Nothing is impossible. The boundary that demarcates right from wrong is a line drawn in the sand, already effaced by the wind. Lands infused with the spirit of eternal youth will never perish: there will always exist a place where all beings can shelter from the raging storm; a place where kindred spirits parted by death are returned to each other’s embrace.

In “Neverland”, seven emerging artists– Anothai Niruttimetee (ANO.), Arrinya Kuntino, Mira Sureeratana (also known as “I draw a house for my friend”), Pimchanok Teepapong (Paerytopia), Prang Vejjajiva, Puttipong Pratanavanich (Hifly) and Wichuda Khuntijit–  envision sanctuaries from this wretched world.

A sprinkle of pixie dust… and we’re off to Neverland!

Perhaps the journey through twilit worlds, tucked into the crook between reality and fantasy, will offer you respite and tranquility– the quiet needed to attend to the subtler rhythms of the soul.
