The King in Our Hearts
Some memories may have happened many years ago,
but they still remain in our hearts.
On the afternoon of October 13, 2016, news of the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great spread throughout Thailand, before the Bureau of the Royal Household made an official announcement at around 7 PM. His passing brought profound sorrow to the Thai people.
Throughout his 70-year reign, His Majesty carried out royal duties in many areas for the benefit and well-being of the people, becoming part of the memories shared by generations of Thai people.
In October 2026, marking the 10th anniversary of his passing, River City Bangkok presents “The King in Our Hearts”, an exhibition created to remember and honor his contributions through works by 13 artists: Ajarn Daeng Buasaen, Chatchawan Rodklongtan, Chatchawan Amsomkid, Supamas Thaweechotipat, Chakree Kongkaew, Atthasit Aniwattanachon, Achalinee Ketsornsuk, Amnat Kongwaree, Atthaporn Nimalai-kaew, Jarinee Metheekul, Waranya Khamhuatoei, Sumitra Unpia, and Monthon Pinlamyong.
The works in the exhibition reflect the artists’ feelings and perspectives toward His Majesty, offering visitors an opportunity to remember his royal duties and the contributions that remain in the hearts of the Thai people.
“The King in Our Hearts” is open from October 7–21, 2026, at RCB Artery, 1st Floor, River City Bangkok.
The exhibition opening ceremony will take place on October 7, 2026, at 5 PM, with Than Phuying Butri Veeravaithaya as the guest of honor and presiding over the ceremony.
