Worldbuilding: Macro / Micro
Sometimes, the biggest changes in the world may be closer to us than we think. As economies, technology, travel, and the environment shift, their ripple effects gradually become part of our everyday lives, shaping the way we live, the materials we use, our memories, and the feelings we carry each day.
River City Bangkok proudly presents “Worldbuilding: Macro / Micro ก่อร่างสัณฐาน,” a group exhibition by Mariem.b, Jarasporn Chumsri, Chinnarat Mongkolchai, and Nakarin Mongkolchai exploring the relationship between the macro world and the micro scale of everyday life through painting, sculpture, and mixed-media art.
The exhibition invites us to shift our gaze from the bigger picture back to the things close at hand, through four worlds shaped by each artist’s memories, the places where they grew up, materials, environment, and lived experiences. Together, these works reveal how the smallest details of everyday life can reflect changes far greater than we might imagine, and how what we choose to see, hold on to, and do all play a part in shaping the world we live in.
“Worldbuilding: Macro / Micro ก่อร่างสัณฐาน” will be on view from 8 October to 1 November 2026 at RCB Galleria 3, 2nd Floor, River City Bangkok.
