The interest in the exhibitions, the hunger for knowledge about the artists and the works, and the demand for memorabilia, THE GALLERY SHOP opens the new store at the 1st floor entrance of River City Bangkok. Three times the size of the current store, THE GALLERY SHOP has an expanded books section, dedicated ticketing counter and products from a growing number of museums and galleries around the world.
The new Gallery Shop opens on 10 November 2020 while the three major exhibitions of 2020 – ANDY WARHOL, VAN GOGH and AI WEIWEI – continue on the 2nd floor. There are opening specials designed holiday season collection of merchandise from PING HATTA, one of Thailand’s star illustrators. In the new shop you will find and expanded collection of Thai artist product and memorabilia including Gongkan, Jirayu Koo and, early in 2021, Phannapast Taychamaythakool. Products from Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A) in London, Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York, National Portrait Gallery in London, National Palace Museum of Taiwan are on sale.
Speaking about THE GALLERY SHOP, Ms. Linda Cheng, Managing Director of River City Bangkok said “the demand for books, museum products and exhibition memorabilia is an encouraging sign of the growing interest in art, culture and lifelong learning.”
